The Arisen are creatures bound to their mortal frames for all of eternity. A novel concept to some, this is something that even the human mind, no matter how supernaturally enhanced it is, can deal with in regards to recollection. As such, the central themes for this chronicle are going to be about Memory and Self Discovery in the face of adversity. Character development will be as personal as it can be, with adventures through the mind of each of the individual characters in regards to what they know and remember from the 6000 years that they have lived their life as an immortal being in service to dark gods.
The mood of the game will follow closely with the theme, but it is important to note that the Arisen are not something to be trifled with. Dark gods in an of themselves and rulers of possibly powerful cults capable of extending their reach across the world, the game will not be set in a particular city and the will revolve around the pursuits and purposes put forth to the Arisen by their cults and by Fate. The time frame for the game, being something that can fluxuate, will not be set in stone and will revolve from Modern, to early 1900s and will most likely span 6000 years al the way to when the Nameless Empire was a budding empire in its finest and the players were but servants to vastly more powerful death mages. As such, the connect with death will be forever present, but also tempered with the feelings of life and emotions that the Arisen have and will experience in their time on Earth as a Mummy. The game will be presented with heavy elements of dark fantasy pulp fiction, and as such will involve moral decisions in the face of power and advancement.
